🎨 Sherri Belassen is a contemporary American painter known for her bold use of color, layered textures, and expressive compositions. Born in 1966 in Indianapolis, she was initially drawn to both art and athletics, earning a full track and field scholarship to the University of Missouri before completing her BFA in painting at Indiana University.
Now based in Phoenix, Arizona, Belassen’s creative process begins with small ink sketches that evolve into large-scale oil paintings. Her work often features underpainting, palette knife textures, and vibrant color fields, reflecting themes of strength, spontaneity, and emotional depth. She draws inspiration from aerial views she experienced flying with her father, which shaped her sensitivity to pattern and space.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This model is a tribute to the artist and not an attempt to copy or reproduce his works. Flux1.D is unable to reproduce a graphic universe on which it was trained, the goal is solely to expand Flux's pictorial capabilities.
