🎨 Arantza Sestayo is a Spanish painter and illustrator born in San Sebastián in 1964. Entirely self-taught, she began her career in portraiture, ceramic design, and cartoon backgrounds before becoming a celebrated figure in the world of fantasy art.

Her richly detailed, realistic style—often influenced by Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau aesthetics—has appeared in international publications like Spectrum, Infected by Art, and Heavy Metal. She’s contributed to projects such as Wicked Kisses, Vampires, and the Game of Thrones 20th Anniversary Edition.

Sestayo’s work has been exhibited at major festivals including Illuxcon, NYCC, and Cavacon, and she’s earned top honors in the Art Renewal Center’s Salon competitions for imaginative realism. Her illustrations often evoke classic fairy tales, blending beauty with a haunting, dreamlike atmosphere.
